Senior OC Bryce Holland  (6-2/295)

Holland, a team captain for the Black Knights, is a two-time Rimington Trophy watch list member and leader of an offensive line for one of the nation’s top rushing teams.

*Junior LB Cole Christiansen (6-2/225)

Christiansen had 65 total tackles this season and also led the Black Knights in stops in the backfield with 10.5 tackles for loss. He also has a sack, two pass breakups and a forced fumble.

Senior LB James Nachtigal  (6-0/235)

Johnson, formerly a WR, leads the Houston cornerbacks with 66 tackles, two of which have resulted in a loss, while picking off two passes and recording one quarterback hurry.

*Junior WR Keith Corbin  (6-2/193)

Corbin had a breakout season, leading a talented Cougar WR group with 10 touchdowns in 2018.    He had 38 receptions for 662 yards.  QB D’Eriq King calls Corbin the “most savvy” receiver on the roster because of his route-running, ability to get open, and knack for making tough catches.

*Junior QB D’Eriq King  (5-11/190)

Houston quarterback D’Eriq King, the nation’s leader in points responsible for per game, has been named a finalist for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award, SPORTyler announced Thursday.  King, having suffered a torn meniscus, in week 12 vs Tulane will subsequently be out for the remainder of the season — and will NOT be playing in the bowl game.

*Junior DT Ed Oliver  (6-3/290)

Houston’s Ed Oliver became only the third player in college football history to be named to three straight American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-America teams. Unfortunately, he has already declared for the 2019 NFL Draft and will NOT be playing in the bowl game.
