Baylor Players to watch:

Senior WR Jalen Hurd  (6-4/229)

Hurd has made a huge impact in his first and only season on the gridiron at Baylor. A transfer from Tennessee, Hurd led the Bears with 69 receptions and 946 yards in the regular season. He scored four touchdowns through the air.

Senior P Drew Galitz  (5-11/212)

Galitz ranks second in the Big 12 with a 42.43 punting average with a long punt of 62 yards and 18 downed inside the 20.  He was selected to the All-Big 12 first team.

***Sophomore NT James Lynch  (6-4/285)

Lynch leads the Baylor team with 9.0 TFL and 5.5 sacks. He was named a Freshman All-American by ESPN in 2017 and All-Big 12 second team this year.

*Junior LB Clay Johnstone  (6-1/235)

Johnston has piled up tackles in 2018 with a Baylor-leading 95 stops, a total that ranks fifth in the Big 12. He averaged 13.3 tackles per game in the month of November and set a career high with 17 combined stops against Oklahoma State.

Vanderbilt Players to watch:

*Junior CB JoeJuan Williams  (6-3/205)

Williams, who has started 24 straight games for the Commodores, finished the year with 56 total tackles and 44 unassisted stops, both single-season career highs.  He led all SEC defensive backs with 15 defensed passes and ranked second in the conference with four interceptions.

***Freshman LB Demitri Moore (6-3/215)

The Cedar Hill, Texas, native played in all 12 games for the Commodores, earning 10 starts as a redshirt freshman. Moore finished second on the team with 79 total tackles, chipping in 2.5 tackles for loss, one sack, three pass breakups and four quarterback hurries.

*Junior RB Ke’Shawn Vaughn  (5-10/215)

Vaughn, who finished the regular season with 1,001 rushing yards and 10 touchdown, topped all SEC backs with a 7.0 yards/rush (min. 50 attempts). He also ranked among league’s most explosive players – topping all SEC backs with seven rushes of 40 or more yards and three rushes of 60 or more yards.

*Junior TE Jared Pinkney  (6-4/255)

Pinkney authored one of the best seasons among SEC tight ends as a redshirt junior. He started all 12 games and finished second on the roster in catches (45), receiving yards (698) and receiving touchdowns (seven).
