THIS YEARS WINNER…

T.J. HOCKENSON, TE, IOWA HAWKEYES

Despite playing in the shadow of preseason All-American Noah Fant, Hockenson is name the best tight end in college football.

Hockenson, a Chariton native, had a break-out year in 2018. He lead the Hawkeyes with 49 catches for 760 yards. in thirteen games. He had six receiving touchdowns, and added one touchdown on the ground that came from a fake field goal.

Hockenson was a key third-down target for junior quarterback Nate Stanley and averaged 15.5 yards per reception this season.

The redshirt sophomore is considering entering the NFL Draft and has until Jan 14th to decide.
