Michigan State Players to watch:

*Junior DE Kenny Willekes (6-4/260)

Kenny Willekes Named Big Ten Defensive Lineman Of The Year.

Willekes, who entered the program as a walk-on linebacker for the 2015 season, has emerged as one of the top pass rushers in the nation. He has collected a league-best 20.5 tackles for loss, good for second most in a Spartan single season and seventh most in the FBS in 2018. He also leads the Spartans with 8.5 sacks. The junior has registered a career-high 76 tackles to rank first among all defensive lineman in the nation, including a career-high 13 against Ohio State on Nov. 3.

*Junior NT Raequan Williams (6-4/295)

Williams, who has started 28 consecutive games at nose tackle, earned first-team AP All-Big Ten honors. The Chicago, Illinois, product has recorded career bests in tackles (49), tackles for loss (9.5) and pass break-ups (5), while helping anchor the nation’s No. 1 run defense.

*Junior LB Joe Bachie (6-2/238)

Voted a captain by his teammates, Bachie leads the Spartans with 94 tackles. He has 8.5 tackles for loss, five pass break-ups, three forced fumbles, one interception and one fumble recovery.

*Junior CB Justin Layne (6-3/185)

Layne ranks tied for first in the Big Ten and tied for eighth in the FBS with 15 pass break-ups. He has also posted career highs in tackles (72) and tackles for loss (2.5) this season.

Oregon Players to watch:

*Junior LG Shane Lemieux (6-4/315)

Lemieux has until Jan 14 to decide if he’ll turn pro or return to Oregon for his senior year.

Lemieux has not allowed a sack or hit on the QB all season. Fourth-ranked offensive lineman (No. 1 guard) in the Pac-12 and No. 4 guard nationally, according to PFF. Has started 37 straight games.

Senior LB Justin Hollins (6-5/240)

Hollins, an AP first-team All-Pac-12 linebacker honoree, has 57 tackles with 12 for loss including five sacks, an interception and fumble return this season.

Senior DE Jalen Jelks (6-6/250)

Jelks was a first-team All-Pac-12 honoree by the league’s coaches. He leads all Pac-12 defensive linemen with 54 tackles with 7.5 for loss including 3.5 sacks this season.

Senior S Ugo Amadi (5-9/200)

Amadi has 50 tackles with five for loss including 1.5 sacks, three interceptions with two returned for touchdowns, seven pass breakups and a forced fumble. He also has 16 punt returns for 214 yards and a score.
